Tropical Paradise, Inc. (dba Cool Tropics)

Tropical Paradise Inc. was established in 1993 on Long Island, NY by Frank Massabni who moved to the United States in 1989 at the age of sixteen.  Frank began the business by selling frozen drinks mixed in blenders to hotels, movie theatres and beach clubs.

As the business grew it was clear that higher capacity equipment was needed in place of blenders.  In 1994 TPI began importing granita (frozen slush) machines from Italy.  The new equipment allowed the business to handle larger volume customers and introduce new products.

In 1995 other distributors began purchasing equipment from TPI and a new division of the Company was created, Tropical Machines.

By the end of 1996, Tropical Paradise made yet another decision to create its own product brand; Cool Tropics.  The product line included 0% and 10% juice slush concentrate.

In late 2002 Tropical Paradise introduced the first (as far as they know) frozen slush containing 100% juice in a shelf stable concentrate.

In June of 2006 TPI moved from Long Island, NY to their new home office in Bedford, MA.  Tropical Paradise Inc. has grown to be the national leader in 100% juice slush for schools.  Cool Tropics is represented in 35 states and is currently served in 10 of the top 40 public schools in the nation.
