Leahy IFP

Wm. H. Leahy Associates, Inc. introduced Carbotrol® Fruit to the foodservice market nearly 40 years ago.

Carbotrol® was the first line of carbohydrate controlled fruits packed in fruit juice marketed to the health care segment of the foodservice industry. Today it remains the largest selling brand and most diverse line of juice packed fruits sold in the foodservice sector.

The Leahy organization also developed a line of shelf stable juice concentrates, dry desserts and nutritional supplements.

In 1997 the IFP Company was acquired by the Leahy Group.

IFP pioneered the aseptic container for juice concentrates to the foodservice market. They also developed single strength juices and Bag ‘N Box juice concentrates in aseptic packaging.

The winning combination of Carbotrol® and IFP resulted in an extensive line of canned fruits, desserts, juices and nutritional supplements designed to fulfill the needs of a variety of foodservice operators in not only the health care segment, but also educational institutions (daycare through college and university), business and industry and recreation.
