In 1986 Heidi Maria Hartung and her cousin Ricardo pressed the first of Boston's authentic Corn and Flour Tortillas. Since then, Harbar Corporation, customarily known as the María & Ricardo's Tortilla Factory, has emerged to be the premiere Tortilla manufacturer in the Northeast.

Initially servicing the all natural industry under the brand name of María & Ricardo, Harbar Corporation has experienced tremendous growth by introducing the same high quality flour and corn tortillas into the foodservice segment of the indutry.

In February 2000, Harbar Corporation left its home located in the Sam Adam's Brewry Complex of Jamaica Plain Massachusetts to a state of the art facility in Quincy, Massachusetts.
